American Sack Coat

The American Sack Coat is made to your measure in the USA. The cloth is American wool, woven by American Woolen in Stafford Springs, Connecticut — in the Warren and Cyril Johnson mills the company reopened in 2014 to bring worsted and woolen weaving back to New England. The coat is cut and sewn by hand at Gambert Shirtmakers in Newark, New Jersey.

A three-button front in 32-line black horn. Square tail, no vent. Three or four pockets, as you prefer. Saddle stitching is included in the price if you want it.

Choose your size and your details, and the coat is built to your measurements. Nothing is cut until it is ordered.

Made to measure. Please allow four to six weeks for production.

All measurements in inches, and they are body measurements — the coat is cut with six inches of ease over the chest, waist and hip. * within ±½ inch    ** within ±¼ inch.
